Freedom, once achieved, doesn't go unchallenged.
Freedom and the risk of the loss of that freedom go hand in hand.
There are those that say that the United States is a "free country". Fine.
There are those that say that "freedom isn't free", meaning that said freedom came through a lot of blood and sacrifice. Fine.
But what I don't hear anyone saying is how freedom can be lost. Only this week (as of the writing of this) the governor of California, out of the blue, just signed a law prohibiting the people of California from carrying a gun. In recent years, Texas of all places, banned the carrying of a gun. Unthinkable! On a daily basis, the freedom of the people (and not just that pertaining to guns) is slowly being eroded away while Americans do virtually nothing about it. Or worse yet, they remain in denial, thinking that those freedoms, which are actually being removed, could never be taken away.
The point of this is that just because you have freedom today, doesn't mean that you'll have those same freedoms tomorrow. If you want to remain free, you will have to take time out of your already busy schedule, pay attention to what's going on around you and take steps to defend your freedoms. I assure you that it is a lot easier to do that than trying t get them back after they are gone. |
Some Favorite Firearms Quotations:
Gun control is really about people control.
Fear the government that fears your guns.
No government has any legitimate business trying to to decide whether or not to issue me a permit to do that which I'm already supposed to have a right to do. Specifically, to keep and bear arms.
God created all men, Sam Colt made them all equal.
If guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns.
